HOT 26

This class is taught by:

J. Nichol Patton

Seeking to regain my overall health, I discovered Hot Yoga in 2008. Being seventy - five pounds overweight, my first class was most challenging. After class, I had the most euphoric feeling. It was better than running….. It was better than going to the gym. It even felt better than my passion for dancing and cheerleading. In 2010, I began teacher training with my mentor/teacher/guru, Cassie Aitken and became a Yoga Alliance RYT-200. I love teaching because I believe whole-heartedly in the power of this series to heal the body, mind, and soul from the inside out. That has been my truth and personal experience.

During class, students are encouraged to start where they are, today. Students are provided a safe space to practice with exploration, instead of expectation or judgement. They are challenged to take the postures seriously and practice safely, but take themselves lightly. It is my intent to  create the same experience for the Jupiter Yoga community. When you become a student at Hot Yoga Jupiter, expect to practice in a safe space and just BE. I am most thankful for the opportunity to teach and spread the gift of yoga in a new place and possibly, my second home.

Juawana, a Yoga Alliance E-RYT 200, is the Director of Teacher Development and Senior Teacher at Fahrenheit Yoga Studio in Brentwood, TN. She teaches the Hot 26 Series, Power Yoga, Yin Yoga and Resorative Workshops.
